60 of 64 people found the following review helpful Confusing setup at first, but then was easy., This review is from: Weight Watchers? WW78 by Conair Glass Body Fat Scale Black & Chrome (Health and Beauty) We just bought this scale at BB&B and it was the floor model with no box or instructions. I figured something with 4 buttons should be easy to figure out, but couldn't figure it out at first.I found the Setup Guide on the Conair site, here: [...] It isn't for this exact model but the instuctions were the same. The trick was to push SET first, after that it is obvious and easy. No opinion so far on how well it works though, I just wanted to help others with the same setup problems we had. WW78 by Conair Glass Body Fat Scale Black & Chrome (Health and Beauty) I'm not sure why so many other people had issues with this scale; it's entirely possible that they had a lemon, because I followed the directions step by step, and it worked just fine. I work out with a trainer once a week and he weighs me as well, and while obviously there's a difference between clothed and not, the weight loss I had there was mirrored at home (-3). My bod fat was slightly higher with this scale, but I think that's more accurate. I have no idea about the bone mass, never having done it before, but it was pretty interesting to see that nonetheless.I weigh myself each morning but only record once a week (daily to help me keep and eye on trends, and knowing I have to see that number in the morning helps cut down on the sweets and junk a bit too!) Thus far it has been accurate. To the person who saw a "gain" of 2.5 lbs in a day, it is possible to weigh that much more if you are retaining water, haven't had a bm recently (not to be gross, but it's true!), or... WW78 by Conair Glass Body Fat Scale Black & Chrome (Health and Beauty) Bought for Christmas 2009. Had four members of my family set up and taking readings for Weight, Fat %, Water %, Bone Mass and BMI within fifteen minutes after taking off the wrapping. Provided accurate readings for all four of us over a full holiday vacation. Literally tracked from day to day to see the effect of exercise vs. all the turkey, trimmings, cakes and brownies we ate. Loved it. Easy to use, easy to set up, and accurate readings. Verified readings once we got back home with the doctor's scale at my gym. Not sure why the other reviewers had issues. For my family, this is a great scale. |
