I didn't really want one with a clear glass platform, but couldn't find anything I liked the looks of, so went with this. Now I love how it looks on my ceramic-tiled floor. But the important thing is how it weighs. I think it's very good. For all I know, it could be a pound or two off, but does that really matter? All I care about is whether the numbers go down (yea!) or up (boo hoo!). I'm not going to drive myself nuts getting on and off every 5 minutes like some people seem to do. I do, however, always weigh, step off, then weigh again (just my own quirk), and the weight is always exactly the same. I feel confident using it. So I think it functions just as it should and it looks great and the price was certainly right (saw this exact model in a store right after I ordered from Amazon, and it was $8 more, plus tax). Just set it on the floor, wait for the zeros to pop up and step on up to get a fantastically easy to read weight. You have to lift the front edge of this one up a quarter inch and let it drop to the floor to get it started. I'd return it but my wife doesn't want to wait for another! I'm sure it's a fluke, but I'm sure not satified with it. |
