good picture quality difficult installation delay on start-up. this system works quite well, but has a few major design/engineering flaws. it seems to missing a means of connecting to a power source, i had to supply my own cable. there is a 4 second lag from when the vehicle is put in-to reverse until the picture comes on. the worst part is the blue mirror, it is absolutely atrocious cannot see anything in it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disapointing, dangerous, January 16, 2012

This product sounds great, thus I ordered it, installed it and have now used it for about 2 weeks. The product is an overlay of your existing rearview mirror. You have two choices when driving, you can either keep the camera feed on and use the camera view as your rearview mirror, or you can turn it off and struggle with the reflective material to use as a rear view mirror. If the camera feed is left on, it is difficult to see as the quality of the video is significantly worse than a normal mirror, especially at night. If the camera is left off during driving, the surface is that marketed as reflective, is very different than having a mirrored surface. Think about the reflective quality of your cell phone when it is turned off, then imagine that as your rearview mirror. It is dangerous as it is VERY difficult to see while driving.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good rear view screen, January 27, 2012

When I bought this a few months back, there weren't any reviews so it was a little gamble but it has turned out well. I have been using this for 3 months now. I did not understand that people wanted to use this as a reflective mirror, I never did and I do not now. I use this exclusively in "ON" mode. I installed this in a sprinter Van and had to run extra cable but that was easy, just buy some female and female RCA junction/ extenders and another RCA video cable to make it longer. This display also has 2 inputs so you can buy a second camera if you want.
The display was easy enough to install, it has clips on the back to attach right over your rear view mirror. I wired it so that I could turn it on an off with a seperate switch at any time. When on, the display is big and nice so I really like that and being able to see if there is a car lurking behind my van is really nice. The quality of the image... The quality isn't the best, it does tend to wash out in bright... Read more
