The scale takes readings from as far as 15 ft away from the computer. The Scale seems to be very accurate and is easy to use! The software is downloaded from the LifeSource Website but has one very small drawl back and that is only one user can use the scale and the software, unless you want to delete a profile or add another scale. I found this to be a major disappointment as I wanted to track multiple peoples weight. If you are only tracking one persons weight it is a great tool with the informational software that is included. It has an attractive, low profile and an easy to read display.The scale comes with software and a transceiver which are designed to allow weight data to be wirelessly transmitted to your computer. One first has to download the software from the lifesource website and then register the product. Software downloaded just fine. Unfortunately, the transceiver wouldn't work and software registration failed repeatedly - even with the correct serial number and product information. To add insult to injury, the instruction manual is a joke with no instructions about set-up of this function. IT FAILURE IS WITH ITS SOFTWARE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.1. An erronious reading got into the software with no way to erase it. Also the software image is not full screen, making it difficult to read and impossible to enlarge the print. 2. The customer service line is full of recorded messages that do not pertain to the problem or question the customer may have. Ihe recordings appear to be made by a bored 6th grader. When customer service is finally reached they know nothing about nothing. This item is going back to the store. |
