Solid construction, powered by 3 AAA, USB or included power adapter. Lightweight but I'm not afraid to drag this into the dirty nasty spot I frequent to weigh found items to sell. Large back lit display that is attachable with either the two screw mounting holes or the magnets to hold it on the scale body when not detached. i had it stuck to the side of the boxcar I was sorting through and it worked perfectly. The AAA batteries last about 20 hours of use. Whoever came up with the design on this scale was a genius.If you are looking for a new scale, grab this one, you will not be let down. I would have paid 200 for this. If they ever come out with a bigger platform version for over 100 lbs I will buy it in a heart beat. Free because anyone can download it? Kinda useless unless you buy the product...) Only works on Windows 32 bit, you have to pay the subscription price to get a version that does 64bit.You can't use this for regular mail, the bottom limit is .20 lbs, so unless your regular mail is a fifth of a pound (..and in 1/10 of a pound increments), or more this won't do it. USB interface only works with their software, so it is overall not a compelling a feature (and from what I can tell even if it worked it wouldn't be that capable.), unless you subscribe. It definitely will not talk to USPS software at all. It is a shame otherwise, it seems to be a nice piece of kit |
