The scale seem to work well. The set up is fairly straight forward as these things go. The only drawback is relatively short battery life in the base unit.

Documentation is a bit sparse but an easy to use scale with desired remote read-out capability- but sales info should make it clear that there is only one display -either the display snapped into the base or hung on the wall or elsewhere. I expected the identical weight with every repeated test, but found some slight variance between weighings of the same person over and over. Not perfect but pretty good and a good value.

Scale is well-made and high quality. It is very accurate and agrees very well with the much more expensive scale at my gym. It weighs from 10 lbs to 330 lbs (or equivalent in kgs/stones), and needs at least 10 lbs to turn on and begin registering and showing the weight. It has a unit button on the bottom to switch from lbs->kgs->stones. It also has a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
It uses a CR2032 lithium battery which according to the manual has a long life with this scale and may only eventually need to be replaced if used in a heavy usage area such as a health club. It measures in 0.2 lb increments (or the equivalent in kgs/stones). The battery compartment uses a standard battery latch cover which is screwed in place by two small screws which means you need a small screw driver to initially set up the scale or to eventually replace the battery if it does eventually happen.

Once I managed to extricate the plastic from the battery case--which resulted in a broken fingernail--it worked fine. However, the instructions that came with the scale are misleading: you can't open the battery case by pushing against the plastic tab (which when I did a little piece of it came off). You need to unscrew the screws that are holding it in place (thanks to Nathan Z's review for that information). It would have been nice if a small screwdriver that could open the case came with the scale as it's extremely difficult to extricate the protective plastic without opening the battery case.
The scale itself is lovely: lightweight, accurate, and easy to read. However, because of the problems I had with it initially I was tempted to return it--until I read Nathan Z's review and then managed on my own to extricate the plastic from the battery case without opening it.

There's nothing I can say bad about this scale. Solid construction, powered by 3 AAA, USB or included power adapter. Lightweight but I'm not afraid to drag this into the dirty nasty spot I frequent to weigh found items to sell. Large back lit display that is attachable with either the two screw mounting holes or the magnets to hold it on the scale body when not detached. i had it stuck to the side of the boxcar I was sorting through and it worked perfectly. The AAA batteries last about 20 hours of use. Whoever came up with the design on this scale was a genius.
If you are looking for a new scale, grab this one, you will not be let down. I would have paid 200 for this. If they ever come out with a bigger platform version for over 100 lbs I will buy it in a heart beat.
This scale, My DYMO 450 turbo label printer and my MacBook Pro, I can post new item to eBay, weigh and print postage and get my items on the way while not being tied to my desk.

The "free" software (since it only works with their product, and not well, how is it free? Free because anyone can download it? Kinda useless unless you buy the product...) Only works on Windows 32 bit, you have to pay the subscription price to get a version that does 64bit.
You can't use this for regular mail, the bottom limit is .20 lbs, so unless your regular mail is a fifth of a pound (..and in 1/10 of a pound increments), or more this won't do it.
USB interface only works with their software, so it is overall not a compelling a feature (and from what I can tell even if it worked it wouldn't be that capable.), unless you subscribe. It definitely will not talk to USPS software at all.
It is a shame otherwise, it seems to be a nice piece of kit
